Lesson 1: Training Fundamentals

The first lesson in the Black Forest series will show you everything you need to know to start training your dog, including communication with your dog, "pack" dymanics, proper methods in giving commands, training collar selection, and providing proper correction.

Lesson 2: Housebreaking

Housebreaking is something every dog owner eventually deals with. This lesson will help you train your dog to "go" when and where they are told to do so. It may seem as though your dog cannot control his or her bodily functions, but just the opposite is true. With a little guidance (from Black Forest) and patience (from you), your dog will learn where and when to go. Provide your dog the housebreaking guidance they are looking for.

Lesson 3: Chewing

A nasty chewing habit can be frustrating and costly. As always, the first step is understanding the "why" behind the behavior. The chewing lesson will teach you how to train your dog to stop chewing, and to teach them what is okay to chew.

Lesson 4: Jumping

Few dog habits are as dangerous, annoying, or embarrassing as jumping. Dogs often jump on furniture, guests, and doors. Unless you are telling your dog to jump (utility work), they should stay on the ground. Black Forest K-9 Training has proven methods to correct this behavior. Remember, you dog will act out as long as the master allows it. If your dog is a "jumper", take control of your dog and give him or her the direction they are looking for.

Lesson 5: Barking

All dogs bark at some point, but a well trained dog will bark only when the owner allows it. Most of us have lived near the nieghbor who has the dog(s) who bark almost constantly. When a dog is barking without your command, they have just made a decision. Most (but not all) dogs are not capable of making this decision on thier own. This behavior should be and is correctable through the use of this lesson.

Lesson 6: Separation Anxiety

If your dog constantly follows you around, urinates in the house when you are gone, or chews things or digs when you leave the house, your dog may have varying degrees of separation anxiety. This lesson can help!
